Giving Thanks: Paul Buller

This time of year is when we reflect on what and who we are thankful for. Here at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Northwest, we are grateful for all of our volunteers who make it possible to serve the youth in our community. And we would like to feature a special member who has been a part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters movement for 50 years.

On behalf of our entire organization, we want to formally recognize the exemplary service, dedication, and myriad contributions of one of our outgoing board members, Dr. Paul Buller. Paul first became a “Big” when he was a college student in the 1970s, forging a relationship with his “Little”, Ronnie, that endures to this day.

Paul joined our board in 1992, and over the past thirty years has led by example, aligning his personal values with a social good that has positively affected thousands of local young people during his tenure. Paul’s commitment never wavers. He is the first to fill a gala table or form a fundraising team, make an introduction to an important stakeholder, or volunteer to help develop the next iteration of an important plan. Paul has a huge heart, a steady hand, sharp mind, and humble spirit.

Paul is an inspiration to us all. Thank you, Paul, for believing in our mission. And a big thanks to all of our mentors for empowering the kids in our community.
