Why You Should Join Bowl For Kids’ Sake 2022

For 40 years, Bowl for Kids’ Sake has been a hallmark fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters, nationally. Each year half a million people gather across America to bowl and raise money for BBBS mentoring programs. Through this effort, $20 million is raised, nationwide!

What is BFKS?

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is made up of fundraising teams collecting donations and then celebrating their success by attending a local bowling party. Teams can be made from a collective of family and friends or businesses can create their own teams.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a great way for local businesses and individuals to give back to their community by supporting mentoring. Taking part in our local Bowl for Kids’ Sake is fun and only requires a little bit of effort to raise the money that is so important to the success of our local programs.

How You Can Get Involved:

There are many ways to participate in BFKS! You can become a sponsor, join a team, create a team, become an individual fundraiser, or donate.

Kids in our community are currently facing some tough challenges in life. Joining BFKS shows them that you care and raises funds so we can make mentoring accessible to them.

Some statistics about youth in Spokane:

  • 32% of Spokane kids are from a single parent household
  • 1 in 5 adolescents reported seriously considering suicide
  • 1 out of 3 kids experience depression.
  • 1 out of every 5 residents of Spokane lives in poverty. Many of the kids we serve come from these households.
