Mentoring Programs
Our one-to-one mentoring programs play a critical role shaping the lives of local youth. The relationships developed through mentoring positively impact a child for the rest of their life. All volunteer mentors are professionally screened, trained, matched, and supported by staff dedicated to fostering successful relationships. We have something for everyone who is interested in volunteering to become a Mentor.
Community
Our community-based program is our most impactful offering and requires the most substantial commitment from mentors. These relationships provide matches the flexibility to coordinate their own schedules and participate in outings and activities they enjoy together. On average, these relationships last more than three years, but pan a lifetime.
MentorU
MentorU leverages the proven power of one-to-one mentoring and delivers it through a predominantly virtual setting. Delivered in partnership with local high schools, this offering improves student’s social-emotional well-being and better prepares them for life after high school. Matches use videoconferencing and text-based messages to develop social and life skills that help students discover and realize their potential.
Lunch Buddies
Lunch Buddies serves students in grades K-5 and provides mentors a fun and convenient option to make a big difference in a child’s life. Once per week, matches meet during the lunch period at the student’s school. Providing your student a positive, reliable, and consistent presence is what these relationships are all about!
